Tonight: Trannyshack at Slipper Room
To celebrate tonight’s NewFest screening of Filthy Gorgeous: The Trannyshack Story (10:15 p.m. at the AMC Loews 34th St.), Slipper Room (167 Orchard) will host a transplanted version of the celebrated San Fran drag show. Hosts Heklina and D’Arcy Drollinger will be on hand, as will Scissor Sisters’ Ana Matronic, Sherri Vine, and Tai Chi. Show starts at 12:30 p.m., doors open at 10 p.m., and cover is 7 dollars. Tickets for the documentary are 12 dollars and are available at the door only, if there’re any left.
