Dave Letterman Gets a Little Testy

We’re still not sure why Mary Cheney got a tougher interview with David Letterman than she did with Diane Sawyer. Dave asks of the gay marriage debate: “Maybe, I’m wondering if people would rather you had talked about it during the campaign as opposed to after the campaigns waiting to put it in a book. Would it have been more effective to talk about it then?” And then later: “Do they resent you taking the opportunity to make money selling books now, where as before there was something larger to have accomplished?” Not to put too fine a point on it, of course.
