All 2,000 of them. The ladies of Los Angeles were partying hard and minding their own business at the L.A. Gay and Lesbian Center’s Women’s Night fundraiser at the Henry Ford Theater Saturday night, when who should jump onstage for a surprise set, but Courtney Love, accompanied by Billy Corgan and Linda Perry. Random, right? The trio played a quick set of two of Love’s new songs, “Sunset Marquis” and “Pacific Coast Highway.” Afterwards, Love gave a scattered interview to NME.com where she said, among other things, “…You could have heard a pin drop although apparently there was speculation about whether I was wearing underwear. Look I’ve been wearing short skirts onstage forever and and obviously I wear panties. Christ!” Also random: the party’s guest list posted on The Advocate. Among the notables were Lisa Marie Presley, VH1’s Loni Love, The L Word’s Leisha Hailey, Heather Matarazzo, and Meredith Baxter Birney. L.A. is weird.
