More Reasons To Never, Ever Go To St. Martin
You remember the news that two gay men from New York were attacked by thugs while vacationing on the Caribbean island of St. Martin? And the further news that the police didn’t really care because the victims were gay? Well, GLAAD has up news that the local St. Martin newspaper ran an editorial that basically looked back fondly on the days when you could beat the shit out of homos and get away with it, entitled “Who Was Really Wrong in the Gay-Bashing Incident?” (Um, wait, give us a second. The gay bashers?) What with news about Jamaica and Rosie O’Donnell’s reception in the Bahamas, perhaps there are better places to spend those gay tourist dollars. We hear they love us in Miami.
