Another Place To Never, Ever Visit
We’ve been following this story out of St. Martin in the Caribbean, where two American gay men were beaten with tire irons by a group of three men outside a bar last week. As if that weren’t bad enough, the St. Martin police showed a complete lack of interest in pursuing an investigation, probably in part because the victims are gay. Queerty’s got up more details, including a link to a Good Morning America segment on the attack. One of the Americans, Ryan Smith, suffered brain damage and is still hospitalized. To add insult to injury, he wasn’t yet out to his parents, so they only found out after he was gay-bashed.

The gay bashers?) What with news about Jamaica and Rosie O’Donnell’s reception in the Bahamas, perhaps there are better places to spend those gay tourist dollars. We hear they love us in Miami.
