Alito Shouts Out to His Peeps
It’s not like we needed more proof that newly-sworn in Supreme Court justice Samuel Alito isn’t going to be a friend to friends of Judy. Still, this is sticking in our craw. Justice Alito dispatched a personal note on Supreme Court letterhead to the virulantly anti-gay political group Focus on the Family, thanking them for their support during the confirmation process. (Focus’ founder, James Dobson read the letter on his radio show this week.) Alito writes, “As long as I serve on the Supreme Court I will keep in mind the trust that has been placed in me.” Which is exactly what we’re afraid of.
