Former Homos in St. Louis
(Via Good As You) Pam’s House Blend has some on-the-scene reporting from the ex-gay Love Won Out conference in St. Louis over the weekend. (A counter-vigil of still-gays protested the event, and someone did some creative defacing of an ex-gay billboard.) The best nugget to emerge from the conference? The words of ex-lesbian and featured speaker Melissa Fryrear who asked, “Ever wonder why some lesbians look mannish? It’s a vulnerability to be a woman. That suit of armor to keep you from being hurt.” This from the woman who looks like the gym teacher we had a crush on in high school.
