We present this post in part because we couldn’t resist the joke in the headline, and in part because we at Hothouse are slightly befuddled by the persistance of the whole lesbian/golf thing. Nonetheless, in a new take on the sue-for-something-to-set-a-precedent-for-marriage-rights lawsuits, a lesbian is suing a San Diego golf club for the right to have her partner get the same benefits as a member’s spouse. We can see why she’s so grumpy, as she paid $18,000 for the year. What we can’t see is why she paid $18,000 to play some freakin’ golf.
